Helen Shanks, BSc (Psych), D.O. Registered Osteopath

I graduated from the College Of Osteopaths Educational Trust in 1999. and after three years working as an associate in Cambridgeshire, I embarked on independent practice. I have been practising in Sandwich since 2005, establishing my current clinic at Pillory Gate Wharf in 2012.

 I treat people of all ages, including babies and children and see patients ranging from 1 month to 90 years in age,

I treat the body as a unit,  and believe that we are a composite of what our bodies minds and spirits experience in life and that the way we respond to life situations will determine our state of health.

My ongoing post graduate studies include the fascias, paediatric and visceral osteopathy, and most recently 'The Intelligent Heart.'.

I have a degree in psychology from the University of Hull (1994)

I am married with two teenage children and two lurchers.

I enjoy walking, cycling and yoga and am a keen  reader.
